"The name's Bond..."

Today we had a rather extravagant day out. We spent some time down one of my owners favourite streets in London - Old Bond/ New Bond Street.

For those who haven't heard of this street, Old Bond Street runs into New Bond Street, both of which are just south of Bond Street - one of the most famous shopping areas in the world. Old Bond Street is pretty old, dating back to the 1700's. Its a beautiful street & houses many global designer brands.

The first store we went into, was Ralph Lauren. It turns out, that this is THE most dog friendly store I have ever been into. First of all, so many assistants came up to pet me & say how lovely I was (of course), but they made such a fuss. I soaked it all right up.

One very nice assistant showed us their collection of dog bags (carriers) & collars. I liked the bright pink carrier, but my owner seemed to warm to the 'tan' colour. I had a good look inside the carrier & it looked comfy & spacious...hmmm...hope we get one.

My owner decided to try on some clothes & so we went into a huge plush changing room. I climbed out of my bag & let my paws sink into the thick lush carpet. I had a good look at myself in the mirror & then played at pouncing.  After all that I got a little thirsty & so the kind store assistant bought me a little bowl of water.

We then wandered down Old Bond Street until we got to the Mui Mui store.

Here we sat on the sofa, whilst my owner looked at some bags & shoes.  I actually crept out of my bag to lay on the nice big sofa, but my owner wasn't very impressed & I was pretty quickly plonked back into my bag. humph.

We then had a little walk over to Regent Street (another famous shopping street in London), for the huge (44,000 sq ft) flagship Burberry store.  We met up with my other owner at this point & so I sat on his knee whilst he drank some tea whilst my other owner tried on various trench coats.

I wasn't offered a drink here nor did I get as much attention from the staff as I did in the Ralph Lauren store, but there was quite a lot to look at here. This store, which opened in September last year, has apparently attracted much attention in the fashion press for its 'retail theatre' experience.  A huge atrium, large sweeping staircase & massive feature screen (apparently the biggest in-store screen in the world), which I enjoyed watching. At one point there was some 'clapping' of hands on the screen & it got louder & louder & turned into the sound of rain all around the store. It was pretty clever & certainly entertained me.
